i-frame compatibilty with browsers??

is i-frame compatible with IE5+ and NS4.7+ and Opera browser??
any disadvantage of using i-frame?

IE5 yes , NS4.* no (death to ns4.* anyway - enough is enough)

I am playing with Iframes at the moment as they provide the ability to have a static (html) page with dynamic data coming via the iframes , so instant loading for the ,main stuff giving the user something to look at whilst the iframes load the dynamic content, only issue for me is losing the iframe scrollbars which means you need to know exactly how 'big' (height) you content is going to be before you write the iframe tags.
