Length of sessions?

Can you set how long session data should last for?

a session times out after 24 minutes - i.e. if it hasnt been used in that length of time the server automatically deletes it.

Note - session ID's are held automatically on the server, so there is no need to transfer the session ID in a cookie or a URL as this is a security risk

Ok, so if a user takes 20 mins on one page & then does something then the session counter will be 'reset' to 0 & they will have another 24 mins to do something again?

yes, as far as i know.

settings can be changed on individual servers but 24 mins is the default
