View Full Version : screen shoots from screen
Im prepering a presentation about html and www for my class and I thought it would be rather boring if I just show and explain code and dont show the output(html file).
So I was wondering if there is a program that lets me take screenshots of my window and save them as some picture file?
Hope I made myself understood!

What operating system are you running?
I know at least with XP you don't need any additional software. Just hit the print screen button on the keyboard. Then paste it into the desired imaging program. (mspaint etc.)

Techsmith makes a real good program for this called Snag-It.
They offer a free 30 day trial also.
If you need to take many screenshots or do a movie of actions, this is realy better for you.

Mac is:
Apple+Shift+4
Let go of the shift but hold the others to make an adjustable rectangle, and not a square.

Use alt + print screen button to only make an image of the selected window. Very useful for creating a nice, clean image without all of that excess in the background.

Just read at GameFAQs that nobody is using Command now, everybody is using Apple, but, I still use good old Command, as for a useful reply, Command+Shift+3 for whole screen.
