"Sliding Out" Message

First of all Im not sure if this is the correct place to post this so please move it if it's in the wrong place, thnx :)

Ok. Im helping a friend make a website (www.blogfire.tk) and we have got the rollover menu buttons working.. (see site). What he'd like to happen is on the "rolled-over" state (ie the animated gif of the flame) a little bar come out from the site of the button stating where it links too (ie Home, forum etc...)

Im not sure if this is DHTML, JS, CSS or a mixture... :confused:

any ideas of how to implement this?
