Image Grabber - Help

Hello all... Another great question from my world


I have an image grabber script that is grabbing images from a book publisher's website (with their permission of course) so that our book sales website will have the correct book cover.

One of our publishers have an asp image displayer that instead of displaying the image in the browser, causes the browser to attempt to download the image.

My script doesn't handle this, thus, I'm not getting the image.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can grab that image for insertion into our database?

if you mean that the image is addressed as say domain.com/image.asp?imgid=69 etc , then it really should not matter to your grabber (unless it only even looks for .gif/jpg etc )

its possible that the ASP script is not outputting the correct image headers (those pesky asp dudes ;)) but without an image url to test we can't be sure about that.

even if the wrong headers are forthcoming your script should still be able to write the correct headers but can only guess how your script actually works ;)
