I am a web designer looking for someone to handle ecommerce sites including customization of shopping carts (ie: OSCommerce or similar) on an "As Needed" basis. There is a current project that I need you to work on (see below for details) as well as be "on call" for future projects, as needed.
I need a 'take-charge' person that can handle time-sensitive projects, complete projects on time and to specs, and be able to keep track of correspondence (so we don't have any misunderstandings or lack of communication) as well as provide progress updates, etc. This person needs to speak English fluently and reside in an English speaking country, provide all programming in English, and have a good sense of understanding when it comes to online services and products. I really need someone that is a self-starter and can handle your own without extreme guidance, make recommendations and suggestions when you feel it's necessary, and have experience in PHP/MySQL enough to troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
*Bonus points go to Mac users if there are any out here!!! (would be easier for us to work together since I am a Mac user)
*** Current Project For Hire ***
The project I'm currently working on needs ecommerce customization (using a PSD template) either with OSCommerce or a similar cart that has sufficient support and has been tested (no beta carts please). The template for use with customizing the cart / site is created in Photoshop and needs to be 'sliced' accordingly, and handled from there: installation of cart and database tables (database will be created for you, as it's on a commercial hosting server). PHP version 4.3 is necessary due to hosting server's recent upgrade (as long as it's compatible) and shopping cart needs to be easy to use so the client can manage adding products, pricing, etc. *Note that for this project I am paying out my own pocket, so please go easy on me for our first job. :o
Please send a brief description of your experience and rates. The first project is scheduled to start end of June, but if we can get started earlier, that would be great.
