apache restricting server access

hi everyone,

i have a static ip running apache and php running on it.
now whenever i enter http://localhost or http://my-static-ip address, the default apache page opens up.

Now when i tried to access thru other computer on lan using http://my-static-ip, the default page was opening again even from another system.

i am not able to figure how can i restrict web server access from other computers.

also is there is any possiblility that i can make the apache accessible to a particular MAC address.
