desktop publishing packages?

ok i have to write a report on desktop publishing packages and i no absoloutly nothing about which ones are good and what the pro's and con's of each one are. was wondering if anyone could help out please

I took a Desktop Publishing class last year and used Microsoft Word and Adobe Pagemaker. Another that I know of, and use at home, is Quark Xpress.
