MOBO not detecting mouse?

I have been trying to install linux but it would not detect the mouse, and any option I chose would not work. So I talked to some people and they said it was probably a mobo problem. So what could the problem be and how can I fix it?

Sorry, I thought I should start a new thread since it has nothing to do with redhat/mandrake or windows. Just the mobo :(

I apologize for my overzealousness and my attempt to use my newfound mod powers. I still think that continuing on in the other thread would warrant some help, maybe the problem really is your OS. Try that out and then pick up here if you come up empty handed.

I agree. I should have continued on the other thread. But problem solved! I took it apart, unplugged some stuff, plugged it back in, pushed some stuff and it worked. **Shrugs** who would have known.
