Does anyone have a good login script to do the following things -
-Register script when sign up password and data stored in database salted with sd5?
-Logout page
-Session cookie to keep login
-Code needed to use the script with pages to see if they are logged in, and if not, need to login and register to access that page.
-When registered their IP is stored in a database

Any help is great, i don't know how i would go about this massive undertaking, i've searched google for a code base, but nothing fits extacly what i need, Please advise.

Yea, you need a database setup to do what you're talking about..

And then you need a couple of forms, one for the login screen and one for the registration screen.

Then I would think you'd use sessions to ensure the user is logged in while the user is navigating through your website.

I don't think you can just find a script that will do this all for you. Maybe a tutorial, and you may have to tweak it a little to store the IP as I don't think that is a common thing.. why do you want to store the IP anyway? Most users will have dynamic IPs..

Here are a couple of links Google popped up:

http://www.free2code.net/tutorials/programming/php/4/phplogin.php

Hope that helps,
Sadiq.

Although the tutorial I just learned doesn't have all the things you want (I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to figure out how to manipulate the code though) here the the link to the tutorial CLICK HERE (http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/40/0.php) I hope this helps
