Any one have any experience with site submission companys, who to use and who not to?
I want to buy a contract for a year, and not sure who to use

They're all crap; they all get it wrong.
Save your money and your sanity - submit the site yourself. You only need to submit to the major ones, including DMOZ, and it will filter through to the others from them

Lots of body text (with keywords) and link popularity are always the best. The search engines will spider your site at some point, whether you submit to them or not.

Not true at all...if you don't submit your site, the only way you can get queued and indexed is if some other site is linking to you and that page they are linking to you from can be indexed and is not below x levels deep in the site (where x is the maximum traverse the spider will do). Even then, the spider will not jump to your site right away and do an index, it will queue you for the next traversing (typically).
And we just had this conversation a while ago...you can often find your answer before posting it, just by searching the forums...
