What's a program I can download for free that will enable me to create .swf files with compressed sound files?
Example: www.roadrun.com/residentevil
At the above location, all you need do is click the song and it will begin playing. How can I do this? Any help is much appreciated.
I didnt know where this needed to be posted, I apologize.

I'm sure others will probably correct me, but in order to create flash files (exported as .swf files) you need Macromedia Flash. You can download a demo version (I think it expires in either 15 or 30 days) at http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/

I went there before I posted, and I downloaded Macromedia Fireworks MX, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, and Macromedia Flash MX. I looked through these programs and didnt see anything about inserting a sound file.

There is no magic button in Flash to insert a sound clip. You have to import the sound clip and drag it into your movie. Go to Flashkit.com (http://www.Flashkit.com ) there are plenty of tutorials

With all due respect: :rolleyes:
File => import
The sound clip will not be inserted directly into the timeline as an image, for example, would but it will be in the library ready to be gragged onto the timeline.
:D

Sorry, I simply expected there to be a button or option to directly insert a sound file, I also expected there to be instructions how to do that in the help file. :cool:

ctrl + r = insert. then ctrl + L= library.
Drag the sound file to the very first frame in the time line and then press ctrl + f and click the ' sound ' tab and make sure that it is only looping 1 time.
Then when publishing the movie make the canvas size as small as possible and export eith audio compression, also make sure that ' play automatically ' and ' loop ' are checked.
