phpMyAdmin - no databases?

phpMyAdmin recognizes no databases. I created a db via SSH and it is working with the app. I need to use phpMyAdmin to allow the client to modify the tables.

I've never used phpMyAdmin and I can't figure out why there are no tables. Furthermore, the "USE" command produces an error when supplying the username with the "-u" option.

How can I use phpMyAdmin ?

Is it correctly setup? (phpMyAdmin that is) ...??

Did you successfully create the database in the first place?

Once you do get it showing up --

Databases will be displayed on the left hand side, to create tables you just select the link to the appropriate database and it will have a page where you can simply enter the table name and then create the table structure ... it's quite simple and explains it well enough I think..
