Host/FTP/Domain: need tuorial or book

Just signed up w/ a host, have domain name & FTP but I do not know what to do next. Need suggestion on a book or tutorial to help me thanks:confused:

How much do you know? What is it you want to know? How to upload? How to create html pages? How long to wait for the domain to be resolved? There's loads of info in this area

•You should have a temp index.htm at your domain.
•You should also have a username and password.
•Your host should have informed you have the location of your temp index.htm file.
•Log in with your FTP and find the temp index.htm
•Replace it with your index.htm file along with all the other files that go with your site and exit FTP.
•Go to your domain and your site should be up and running.
