Wow. Everyone around here sure seems to be doing lots of form validation. Fortunately, I have your solution. I've made a form validator that does LOTS AND LOTS of neat stuff. It's still 'beta' because I'm not done with x-browser 100% etc. Well, you can get all the dope here (http://www.peterbailey.net/jsdemo)

RfE:
Could you make it possible that one can enter some values into one specific field and directly (or upon clicking a link, button, whatever) validate exactly this field, and by doing thus checking explicitly this validation routine?

Because I wanted to test your email validation, but I've got no idea what a vaild US telephone number should look like and the script complains that I have to fill out every field prior to the email field properly.

Beside that, it looks good to me. Nice idea of changing the background-color of the not-validating fields, although they don't change back to white after correcting the values.

Will have a look at the source code...

You bet. I'm working on an HTML-based API. You get get a sneak peek at it here (http://www.peterbailey.net/fValidate/api.htm)

Oh, and I will be construting another page outlining all the features and events/methods used to achieve all the other cool stuff besides the validation (like the error-coloring)
