hi everyone,
I need to do multiple virtual tours for a client, and dont know how i should go about getting good photos for it. I have a digital camera. Do i just take multiple photos of a room for example, stitch them all together and put them in the virtual tour program?

How do i go about making spherical images? Do i need to use these type of images or would a normal or panoramic photo be ok? Am i better off getting a camera with a fisheye lens?

Am i better off getting a professional photographer to take the photos i need? then use them for the tour?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks :-)

To do that I would recommend REALVIZ's Stitcher (http://www.realviz.com/products/st/), I have, however, only used Stitcher EZ for making panoramas but this, which is just the same with more features, can do all of that, so no need to get anything special to take those photos, just normal photos will do.

Well if you are going to do this regularly, then you may justify the expense of the equipment. If a one off, I would suggest you find someone who can do it for you.

Costs for doing it properly will be at least 2000 GBP. You can use a specific patented software program but I have yet to see an example of a sufficiently high quality finished product.

What camera have you? It may not be compatible with some of the stuff listed below, which will mean that you need different hardware from that which I am thinking about below - and, which is more expensive.

To do it properly, you'll need

Pano head/rotator
tripod
camera memory card
software
more software
another software
lens
camera
patience
skill and experience in use of each component.

Hope this helps without discouraging you. Where in the world are you?
