Have a look at <http://annevankesteren.nl/archives/2004/03/internet-explorer-7>. It's one of the most interesting things in extending Internet Explorer for standards support that I've seen since the PNG hack - heck, this is more interesting than that, even!

If you were working on things that he hasn't done yet, it might help him finish his more quickly if you shared with him what you had.
