Looking for script to fade 9 images at a time

I am looking for a free (or low cost script as it's for a charity infants school) that allows the following:

1) Upto 9 images to be displayed on a page.
2) Each image fades slowly to another image (slideshow style) but also from a particular folder.
3) Each image can have a different delay to stop them changing at the same time.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I can find plenty of script for displaying and fading one image, but not 9.
