files named "~" showing up?

some 176k file named "~" magicaly created its self on my desktop. whats the deal?

Virus? Weird temp file? Plz help.

tis a microsoft glitch. I've read it's related to Outlook Express, address books, windows updates, buggy installs, etc.

of course its not a glitch! microsoft software is great, the only problem comes when it is installed on your PC, then it can experience a few "features" :D

Yeah they are just temp files, safe to delete in most cases.

Windows doesn't have bugs, it just developes new features. :D
