I am very much new to webdesign and hope to find a way to press forward in my design ability with anyones help and guideance...:)
I designed my website using Netobjects fusion 7, with no idea what I was doing... so I am now finding out that this horribly large website may not be what I had anticipated due to my lack of knowledge... ooops :o
Have a look if you like, but please be easy on me :o

I would like to press forward to have a website with a bit more design features, but do not know where to start (from the beginning I imagine).
For example, this webdesigner does many Akitas sites in the US... love her layouts and pictures creativity.... How??? http://www.STUDIOSENSATION.com
http://www.MAJIKSUNAKITAS.com

I have seemed to have reached a plateau and am bored with my site and need a revamp... I know with the amount of pages in my site I am looking for a miracle. But willing to sit back down and start all over if I have to.
Thank you to anyone who may be able to offer a helping hand to one who is not so computer inclined and have never been to a site like this one...

Thanxs!!

Suzanne:thumbsup:

Sorry to say, but what you've learnt is all wrong.

First thing to learn is NO right click script works. So get rid of that carp straight away.

Frames for a site that doesn't need frames? Bad idea, get rid of them too.

Plus the purpose for the frames I'd never have any idea about, they're doing nothing at all worthwhile.

Tables for layout, why? Since when has tabular data been layouts? Use divs and css, that's what they're here for.

You didn't really make it clear what you wanted. Are you asking for advice on how to improve the site and where/how to learn how to do it or are you asking for someone to do it for you?

In the case of the former, Nightfire has given you a good starting point. Although I've never heard of the program you used, you might want to look into using Macromedia Dreamweaver to develop your site if you don't want to learn how to code the site by hand. It is pretty much the best WYSIWYG out there, and it is pretty easy to learn. If you are looking to write the code yourself, which is a great thing to do, you can start by reading through some of the HTML, XHTML, and CSS tutorials over at www.w3schools.com their stuff is really well written.

Additionally, as Nightfire pointed out, using tables for layout is a thing of the past. For good examples on valid XHTML/CSS based layouts, see the sticky (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23475) at the top of the GWB forum.

In the case of the latter, there are plenty of people here that do freelance work and are quite good at it.
