I have the add to favourites script from DD on my last page, but wondered if its at all possible to incorporate the flashing links script to it, so that the words "Add to favourites" would be flashing. I dont really know if this would look a little tacky looking, but still want to see what it looks like before I decide if its what I want.

I have tried playing round with both scripts but cant seem to get them workking together. If its too complicated, I will leave it, but trying here first.

Thanks in advance, Brit

Why do you need a script to make the text blink?

You can use css:

a {text-decoration:blink}

(that's one attribute I never thought I would write....):o

Just a warning, blinking text is a turnoff for many web viewers (especially thouse who are web developers.) Some people will even just leave your site as soon as they see it.

More to the point, why can't the visitors use their standard browser interface to add a site to their bookmarks, rather than using a link you provide them, which would be less familiar and therefore less usable.

I agree. I often see sites that have the "add to favourites" or "bookmark" links on them, and I usually always think to myself that the site is obviously just trying to get people coming back more and more by making them bookmark it, and i rarely get very far unless I am particularly interested in the content. If I want to bookmark a site I will add it to my Bookmarks in mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org).
