Simple stats?

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a recommended (easy!) way of gathering statistics from your website, like how many people visited, etc.
Can anyone recommend anything?

Hi.

The most reliable way is from your server logs. Do you use a free hosting service or do you pay? Free sites don't give you access to traffic logs, AFAIK, but if you are paying for hosting and don't have server logs, smack your host upside the head.

Using free counters and hacks don't tell you anything useful.
