Dumping current UK web host, need replacement for commercial web site urgently

Hi Guys

I currently have my business web site hosted by a UK (Cumbrian) company and they are garbage. They run IIS on WinNT (unable to CHMOD permissions), they are offline 20 - 25% of the time (Sundays, like now, for about 4 - 5 hours), only one person has any idea of the hosting and he is always busy with a 'customer' (the same one each time?). As you can see I'm pretty pi**ed off about it.

I have learnt my lesson now so I am doing a bit of research to try and find a new one.

I really need your recommendations --

In order of importance my new server must

1/ be reliable in terms of up time
2/ host my existing .co.uk domain name and not an alias (or whatever it's called)
3/ be able to FTP site changes directly to site etc etc (amazing how many don't allow you to do this)
4/ be on Unix running Apache (for .htaccess)
5/ have SSI, Perl 5+ (plus asp capibility for later on)
6/ a decent stats service and/or availability to logs
7/ half decent customer service who are helpful and know what they are talking about
8/ a minimum of 10 email addresses, pref unlimited
9/ a minimum of 10mb space (more important than bandwidth at the moment)
10/ off web space would be nice but in no way essential

Cost is not an issue, the service is more important. I currenly pay £120.00 ($200 approx) a year, unfortunatly I've just paid it but I'll argue that with them later.

I don't think the above is too much out of the ordinary or to hope for. Any and all suggestions please.

Thanks

ps if any body wants to know who this terrible host is then email me and I'll let you know (so that you can avoid them and I don't get sued for publically broadcasting it)

I've been hosting my business site with www.hostrocket.com for the past two years. Never had any major problems. I'm not sure if they host .uk domains or not but you can always check. They offer a lot for the price.

Try:
Prohosting.com (www.prohosting.com)
I think they have the best bang for the buck.
If you use them please tell them that Craig the rodeo guy sent you to them.
I don't get a cut, but they did sponsor our rodeo group last year.
These are our sites:
Intermountain Rodeo news (www.proamrodeo.com/imrnonline.html)
and
Proam Rodeo, Inc. (www.proamrodeo.com)
Hope it is what you are looking for.

Not exactly the cheapest around but has all you want I think.

Finding a good host in the UK is not an easy thing, you pay for quality methinks, where as US folk all seem to have 20gb per month data transfer and an abundance of Apache/MySQL hosts.

Then there's always this bunch: http://www.i-dot.net/

Check out the reviews and comments at Web Hosting Ratings (http://www.webhostingratings.com/plans/ICDSoft-Reviews.html#b1310) and also here (http://www.webhostingratings.com/plans/ICDSoft.html). I have had no problems at all so far so I have not used the support my self but I read somewhere (lost the link) that it is top rated. They had my domain name and web space ready within two hours of payment.
BTW, I am making nothing off recommendations, but they have a 20% program for that and 20% discounts for additional accounts you have with them.
