CD Rom Drive wont open + Looking for some file extensions i deleted..

When i insert a certain disk sometimes i cant eject it. It happens with alot of disks. Ive tried using the Eject button from the CD Rom Drive, Windows and on a little vbscript i downloaded.

Nothing seems to work.

I also deleted a few extensions which i want back, Such as SHS and SHB as i was trying to be safe. However how can i restore them? As my File Association has been crapped around with alot.

If you could; Could you provide me with the command Line for SHB/SHS ?

yes i understand the risks of SHS and SHB but i am NOT making 'open' as default.

I do NOT want to reinstall or format or anything like that.

Uhm... Firstly, usually frequent problems ejecting cd's is a sign of a failing cd-rom drive.

It could be something mechanical (like the button isn't working right, a spring is loose, or a gear is worn down).


As for the SHB & SHS extensions, I've never heard of either...what are they?

SHS is Scrap Document and SHB is Shortcut in Document.

They're dangerous.. I deleted them - But i want them back.

Of course i'll have a defense against them.
