Just an exercise in achieving the <fieldset>/<legend> appearance with semantically appropriate elements:

looks good, and it works in all font sizes in mozilla. (not ie though, but thats not a surprise)

Does work in IE6
For earlier IE (5.5) box model adjustments need to be made.

Interesting - the look but not the semantics - contrasts well with the semantics but not the look that I've taken to for forms:


fieldset { border:none; }

Actually I did it, because someone at usenet was wondering if that was ok to use <fieldset><legend> pair outside the form. They liked the appearance for things like blogs (date in the legend) and news articles (title in the legend), so I showed that the same appearance can be achieved with the regular markup.

Yeah I figured as much. I take it then, you don't think it's okay to use fieldset for non-form content?
