Hello All -

Can someone please tell me how I change my "Primary Scratch Disks To A Different Physical Drive" and does it actually have to be a different physicall drive or could it just be a different partition? Also, What the heck is a scratch disk anyway. I know that after a while it will say they are full. . .is that because I have it on the same drive?

TIA,

Basscyst

I assume you mean within the context of Photoshop...
Your scratch disk is a file that Photoshop creates when you run out of RAM. As for the difference in performance between a physical drive and a partition; I feel quite strongly that a partition could not possibly make any diiference, as it is still the same platter, being read by the same head and being passed down the same channels as the OS/.exe.
I had this debate with the head of the multimedia department at my college yesterday, I won :D
