Has anyone ever heard of a file ext. called .REP? I believe it stands for reply and is used .
I received a .REP file that windows sees as a unreconizable format so will not open it. I need a program that is compatible to windows to open it.

make a copy of it and rename to .txt and see what it looks like inside, sometimes you may be able to glean readable text from it.

1. Open up notepad or any existing text file.
2. Drag this rep file into the notepad window.
If you can understand the content and it's perfectly readable, then the extension was probably something less common. But don't rename the file since it may be necessary for one of your programs to work (do as you wish with a copy though).
