Where can I find good icons/graphics for apps?

Anyone know where I can find free good icons for web applications? By that I mean graphic icons used on day to day apps like the icons used in:

I know there are tons of web sites that offer free icons but are usually sucky and not free. I figure I'd ask if anyone knew. The icons used in phpAdsNew are pretty popular (I see them everywhere) so I'm wondering if they are in fact free for use commercially.

they probably made them themselves. i could do a few icons (you'd bhave to scale thme down though.) what do you need?
