Kay. i have a bunch of music i wanna send to my friend. i tried setting up my computer as an ftp. it worked. but its encredibly slow cause i have dialup and only a 28K modem. What i was wondering is if there is someplace online where i can upload my stuff to and have it act like an ftp.

Basically it needs to have 100MB+ storage space
and at least a 10MB per file max

i tried google search but i didnt come up with what i needed

it can also be an online storage thing. except i need it so my friend can access it too.

One Last Note: IT has to be free.

You aren't gonna find anything with that kind of storage size for free.

Hello -

Some advise:

Buy a 56k modem, if you can't afford it, pan handle :o, search goodwill, thrift stores etc. for old PC's. If your friend has dial up too, you arn't going to see much better results by putting it on a different server. You can get a 56k modem for virtually nothing. I can't even imagine being on dial up this day and age let alone with a 28k modem.

Broadband is still not offered in a lot of areas. I live out in the boonies and there is no natural gas, cable tv, or broadband.

I'd suggest just burning them on a CD and give it to your friend.

a 56k modem will cost you around 10$ :p

That's too bad Oracle Guy, It's a tough wait. I myself had to wait years for them to run the lines down my block, while the people not 2 blocks from me had broadband years before. Not too much longer till we have high speed wireless though - If there's towers in your area.

To send some files from one place to another (you to a friend), uploading to an ftp server isn't going to work miracles with your connection speed. The simple free solution I always use is to just send files using AIM. It also resumes file transfers if you have trouble staying online.:p
