1) always use images at 72 dpi when putting them on a site
2) Display copright notice: " ©xyz, all rights reserved"

3)If you donot want any one to be able to download the files,
use no cache for the page and you could (as you have already done) disable rt click and use image swap on the larger image so that on mouse over , it is replaced by a jpeg showing the © sign. This trick however doesnot work on the Mac where you can just drag and drop any image to you desktop and it's saved there.

4) Use a password protected swf file for the slide show, with no cache for that page.

But the majority of you visitors will be using a PC

Good luck

The best tricks in the world will only stop less than half the people who want to grab your images. The only sure fire way to keep your images from being copied is to not post them in the first place. This is a topic covered at great length in several other threads on this BBS so I'm going to suggest that a moderator terminate this thread before it becomes yet another extremely long thread that ultimately still says what I just told you.

hardest was realising you had your layout in one image file. took 2 minutes.

opened you web page, right clicking was disabled so i hit CTRL+N wich opens a new window with menu and all, view source, saw the div with the layout img file as background (or something like that) and that was it really

Right click achieves nothing - just press the print screen button and open it in photoshop and all images are yours. The source can be viewed by clicking on 'view' on the browser and then 'source'.

This is an old topic. Get rid of 'no right click' its a pain for all.

if i were you, initial your pictures along with your url. Also, even if everyhting else worked, as Stuart H says print screen does it all...

My keyboard has a print screen button. If I can see it, I can copy it. Period.

Yeah... I just disabled JS with two clicks, and the rest was cake. :D

Also, I'm not sure why you open a new window like that, yet size it in such a way that a horizontal scrollbar appears...

Not really much more to say on this topic people, it follows the same genre as the "Protect your source code" thread.

If you can see it, you can take it. Print Screen, or via the browser cache directory.

Topic closed.
