Site ReviewKerns 08-02-2002, 08:03 AM Hi, can you please look at my site and review it for me? Any comments welcome, thanks!! http://www.lakeforestlimousines.com Mhtml 08-02-2002, 10:04 AM I like it, simple yet effective, very clean and easy to navigate. The content is displayed really well and the colors go together well. But I did notice that the page doesn't go right to the edges of the screen, did you make it for 800x600 res? You should make the top table width 100% or something. And maybe the same with the bottom where you have the the copyright. I'd give it 9 out of 10 which by my standards is extremely good. Well done.:) jscript_junkie 08-02-2002, 05:07 PM Basically a repeat of the last post. I don't like links that add the line on mouseover though. I'd rather have the links and made the line disappear. But, either way is fine :D Nice Work! joh6nn 08-02-2002, 06:05 PM i like it, except for one thing. the lines that go across the top and bottom, the blue and gray, they don't extend all the way. it leaves this odd chunk of white space there on the right (picture included to show what i mean). i think maybe center the page, so that white space is on both sides, instead of just lumped on the one side. QuackHead 08-02-2002, 07:53 PM  Wow! This site is the BEST "rate my site" post I've seen on these forums. You have a very good site, obviously it needs to be finished (too many "under construction" pages... But anyways, GREAT layout, nice colour, pictures are great as well. Very well done! I will agree with the above posts about making the site fit the window. For this design, it will add a lot. Some designs look awesome when they're fit to a certain size, some don't. I think your's looks great the way it is, but it could look even better with a few mods. ~Quack Graeme Hackston 08-04-2002, 01:51 PM I agree with the previous suggestions regarding layout. It looks good and would look better if modified. I assume you’ll be putting your contact information on your “Reservations” page. An experienced web developer once told me that you have to build sites so that a less than intelligent, completely newbie to computers can navigated it with ease. The old KISS theory. For this reason I’d suggest changing “Reservations” to “Contact” or something similar. It may be my connection speed today but your images took longer than average to load. If you can, try reducing their file size. Nice work. totalhosting 08-05-2002, 07:32 PM In addition to everything else said, I would sugget the following: 1) Why would you use and External Style Sheet AND HTML for color and styling? Waste of code and time. 2) Vary your Title and Meta Tags to reflect the content of each page, so that it's more search friendly 3) Why does the "location" link require a pop-up? I thought it was an ad. 4) Do you really need "Navigation" as the top link? How about "Services" or something more natural? 5) Under the "packages" section, I would repeat the phone number to call after the prices for each event, as well as a link to the Reservations form. 6) Don't forget your ALT tags for images.
