Well, free hosts really don't like forums. Nevertheless, go to FreeWebSpace's Forums (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/) and they will guide you to a host. :D

I understand the money dillemma having faced it myself, but a real webhost is a bargain these days and the hassles are so much fewer.

Here is a free webhost which is an awesome company. I have been a paying customer for a while. They set up accounts for free with first priority going to schools, non profit etc.. But they will give all one until space is maxed..

why don't you get an account on ithium.net? It is only 10$ a year!!! almost free (for professional services)... Unless this is for commercial purposes.

I think you should go with a really cheap host like www.IamYourHost.com (http://www.iamyourhost.com) if you want to host a forum. You will find a lot of problems with free hosts and they never last long at all. But wwww.Free-Webhosts.com (http://www.free-webhosts.com) has good list of free webhosts if just arn't willing to pay for a host.

1&1 are actually one of the most hated hosts, by me and many other web hosts. Takes them ages (a month or more) to do something which will only take a minute.
