viewing the binary code in notepad

I've been trying to view the binary code of some of my programs like simcity for example, however notepad does not give me that option and i tried edit in ms-dos and i wasn't able to get that to work either..any ideas?

Look at the thread about free Text editors, some of those may offer a Hex Edit view.

what language?...i'm a little confused by that..I guess it would be c or c++ but i just want to see the guts of a program (binary)..someone said something bout a hex editor...i'll try that. :)

Yeah. Some text viewers can display all characters if you want the to, but the best solution would be a hex editor. There are many of them, some better than others.
