Hello all,

I have never used frames and I must admit I have been trying but am having a lot of trouble making them work. I would like to ask if any kind soul can point me in the right direction.

I have a search page. On it there is a logo image and an area for searching clips by the editor, client etc. (I am not asking for help with the search coding, I've got that handled).

What I need to know is:

When one searches, I need the results to pop in and when one chooses a clip to play, I need the clip to come up.

I have atttached a graphic representation of my question to try to make it clearer

Thanks

Frames have drawbacks even if they are used expertly; I would strongly recommend steering clear of them for that matter.
I suggest a normal, static page with two inline frames (iframe), one for the clip and one for the scrollable search results.

A description can be found in the W3C HTML 4.01 specs: Inline frames: the IFRAME element (http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/present/frames.html#edef-IFRAME)
