I have a form that allows a user to enter in some data. It then inserts the data into a table in an oracle database.

The problem that I am having is when I pass in a foreign character such as a '' it converts it to a 't'.

Has this happened to any one else - anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks

I don't know much about oracle or if this is right but you can check to see if the field in your database is set for varchar. This is variable character.

Yeah - they are all set as Varchar's....

Do you think this is an Oracle thing or PHP?

The database characterset is WE8ISO8859P1 and so is Apache....

I can pass a '' from a form to a php page and it will display '' - however, when i pass '' into my stored procedure it inserts a 't' into the database....

Could this be the OCI drivers i'm using to connect?

Anyone else had this problem?
