Needs help with loading page javascript code.

Hello everybody!
I need help on the javascript code that makes a message (for example, Loading Page) in the status bar when, in fact, the page is loading.
I searched though many sites already, but still can't find it.
Can anybody help me?

A simple way would be

Add onload="done()" to the opening body tag
