I recently purchased a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000 and have been looking around and it supposedly offers APIs for software development, but I can't seem to find any documentation for it. Has anyone here ever worked with this before and would be able to point me in the right direction? Also my model came without the ethernet controller, not my choice, it's what they gave me. Would I be able to hook the usb port directly to my pc and write up some drivers for it.
The purpose of all this is pretty much so I can change the channel from my pc for recording schedualing.
Also, I have no application programming skills, just web related (and I dipped my toes in ASM a while back), but if someone would be kind enough to direct me in the general direction I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out.
