After you've changed it, how long does it remain changed?
A. Not changed at all.
B. Until the browser is closed and re-opened.
C. Until the PC is rebooted.
Your original message seems to indicate that it's "C" which sounds like your profile might not be getting updated properly.
If the problem is "C" any other changes you make being lost ? Items like new desktop icons, color scheme changes background image...
Thanx for the reply......
Until the PC is rebooted, it doesn't redirected to msn.com!!! Only after i restart my system i'm redirected to msn.com which i haf to change every time i "on" my system. Can anyone tell me how to remove that stuff hiding in my system. I have ad-aware but that doesn't seem to scan it out!!!!

Because it's only changing back to MSN when you reboot it sounds like you've changed the permissions on the "Documents and Settings" directory and you're getting a new copy of the default profile each time you reboot. The default profile also happens to have MSN as it's default.
Check the "Documents and settings" directory and make sure that you have full permissions on your own profile.
Hey wat is this ""Documents and Settings" I have never come across anything like that before and also pliz note that i dont have any 'user profile'..... Can u pliz !!

What OS are you running?

Ah, an obsolete OS. Then the suggestion about permissions problems with the profile aren't relevant.
Try running MSCONFIG to find all the program which run on system boot, maybe someone slipped something in there that's messing with your settings.
Try disabling everything, rebooting and seeing if changes start sticking. If they do stick, re-enable things one at a time (with a reboot between) until you find the guilty party. If disabling everything doesn't help I'm not sure what else it could be.
couldn't find anything......:(
thanx for the help anyway.

Mex, I know this must be frustrating we've all had similar things like browser hijacking and stuff and it's extremely annoying.. However we are here to help, but we are here on our own free will and are not slaves to you or anyone else (exception to spookster and his whacked out existance(s)) ...
If you don't get the answers the first time or the 100th time you are expected to remain polite, explaining clearly and correcting missconceptions of your problems at the same time.
Also, the ability to speak English shouldn't be taken lightly so please treat it with dignity and spell properly where possible ...
Have you tried using some spyware removal utils?

Do a web search for Spybot Search and Destroy.. It will find and help you remove any malicious programs.

Wow, havnt posted here in a few years. Im amased my account still works.
Pest Patrol (http://www.pestpatrol.com/Downloads/Eval/DownloadHomeEvalNew.asp)
Download that. The free version wont acctualy delete the hijackers for you, but will give you detailed instructions on how to do it your self.
I know you going to hate this. But you probably have the WORST version of Windows ever made after 3.1 If ever possible, get a newer version, Win2k, XP? ME has alot of issues that todays anti-virus, anti-hijacker (ect) programs cant deal with. leaving you very prone to this stuff.
If it is a hijacker. Then that should do it. If its just a matter of Windows not saving your settings, i cant help ya.
