hi chaps

glad i found this forum, and hope I can get some answers

all I need to do for the moment is get a piece of code I can put in some of my pages that forces the page to open to a specific size, and without any of the scroll bars, menus etc - just a plain window with nothing else

You cannot alter the preferences and controls on a page unless you have opened it. For a new page yu can set just about anything like this:

Something like this:

<html>
<head>
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
function openIt()
{
chrome = "width=100,"
+ "height=150,"
+ "location=0,"
+ "menubar=0,"
+ "resizable=0,"
+ "scrollbars=0,"
+ "status=0,"
+ "titlebar=0,"
+ "toolbar=0,"
+ "hotkeys=0,"
+ "left=450,"
+ "top=100";
x=window.open('temp.htm','',chrome);
x.focus();
}
// -->
</script>
</head>
<body onLoad="setTimeout('openIt()',1000)">
Content of page
</body>
</html>

i figured out the best way to do it is set a behaviour in the link,

which I got from a preset..

but thanks anyway
