I have some kind of conflict in my software, my computer keeps freezing and I have to re-boot, sometimes several times, and then it's slow to get back to my desktop.

Is there a program or software I can use to find out what the heck is going on?

What OS are you running?

You checked your machine for spyware recently? You can download a program called Ad-Aware that can scan your computer and remove it. Don't forget to run the update first to get the latest definitions. There are other programs you can try too.

When was the last time you defragmented your computer?

If you are using Windows 95/98/Me how long has it been since your re-installed the OS?

Maybe if you can give us some specific errors, we can help in more detail.

I am using WindowsXP

I defraged about 2 days ago

As we speak I am downloading spybot

This is one error msg. I used to receive, but after doing some clean up, I don't get it anymore

If memory serves, mcshield is part of the Macfee (sp?) Anti-Virus program. What version of it are you running? There may be an update for the actual program available or you might just need to re-install it if that program is reported as causing the failure in the future.

Btw, aren't you up pretty late? It is almost 1am, I'm in the same time zone as you.

I deleted MCafee totally, I use trend micro now.

Yes, I am up late, but this is driving me crazy
