I personally use MSDN online for all of my ASP.NET questions

I google what I am looking for and add MSDN to the search and I get good results.

If you are just starting, you can look into books like ASP.NET in 60 minutes a day or VB.NET in 60 minutes a day to give you a more structured classroom style of learning .NET. Those books are very bad references since they are made to teach, I would only recommend those books if you have trouble learning on your online out of a more of a reference type of book.

There are tons of .NET books on the shelf. I would persoannly goto a bookstore and start reading them to find one that fits your style of coding.

.Net is hard at first, but as soon as you learn the basics it is easy as typing a note to a friend.

That is my 2 cents

Thanks you very much for your information. I think this encourages me to learn more .net and spend more time on it. Yes initially I felt .net a little hard. But as time goes by it gets easy. I hope it has a good job market also now is it compared to Java etc?

ASP.NET Unleashed by Stephen Walthers is a really good book
(the index is not too helpfull)

The ASP.NET CookBook by the ASP Alliance is also really good:
