web development contract

I am building a web site for a client, but I don't have a web development contract. I've looked all over the web for an example that I can use, but you have to pay for everything. Does any one have a contract that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Why don't you have a look at what is linked from evolt's directory? <http://dir.evolt.org/privacy_and_legal/sample_contracts/>

You could also try searching the evolt's [thelist] for contracts. Just use google and add site:lists.evolt.org together with your search terms.

(One of the reasons I chose evolt over for example WD-L is that evolt have open archives that you don't have to be a member to use, (even though membership is free of charge and something I would recommend any serious web designer to sign up for). I don't doubt that highfivebabble, WDF.net or WD-L have some threads in their archives with excellent resources for it, though.)
