Best Login Script

What is the best multi-user login script which is free.

The best one depends on what features you want with it. It isn't that hard to actually make your own if you have enough time.

Having droped that project a while ago but now replaced it with a new one which also needs a login script and needs the following features

Very secure
Files where only some memebers can vist
Password recovery


Also, I will look into writting my own now I have greater knowledge of PHP (had almost none before).
