Alrighty, before you even ask, yes I did do some research on parse errors and fatal errors on google, however, i dont have too much time so i briskly swept through them..

After a google search, I did look at http://forums.devarticles.com/t5932/s.html and noticed that someone else had the same error.

However, I did what they suggested there and I still got the error. :(

I need this to be fixed.

btw, this error occurred after I updated apache with mcrypt and recompiled apache :)

For some reason, i have a feeling that it may have come from mcrypt install. Know how I can kill mcrypt?

Also, I have lots of clients that have php coding that gets the same error as well.

Does the problem still exist? I went to each of the three links you provided for pages that exhibit these parse errors, and I didn't see a single error on them.

Additionally, if you want to get useful responses, you better

a) Describe what error you get. They usually have a message attached, like "expected '('" or something similar.
b) Show the buggy PHP code, so we can propose fixes for it.
