can't be done with javascript. you need a server side script for that kind of thing. if you don't have cgi capabilities, you're out of luck. if you do, just ask in the server side forum; someone's sure to have something.

Not having CGI support does not prevent you from running server side languages. You can still run PHP, JSP, ASP without going through a CGI. CGi programs are typically written in Perl, Visual Basic, C and Java.
