Is there a way to maintain font sizes on a web page regardless of the users browser settings? I have a graphic border on my web page but the border breaks if your text size setting is anything but the "medium" setting.
Thanks for any help.

i did see another thread with a simalar question but it has not been answered.
I also have several sizes of font on the same page so I cant set a default size for the whole page.
I just want to somehow "lock" the font sizes for my users viewing my page.
Thanks again.
Richard

Well, you could use px ( I think ).

body {
font-size: 12px;
}

That'll only work in IE. There isn't a way to keep the user from changing the font-size via their browser -- except, of course, in IE. ;)

Thanks Paul, I had a feeling it was IE only :).

As for you shli01 I think perhaps you should pay a visit to www.w3schools.com/css and learn the wonderful art of CSS. :)

Yeah, check out the W3Schools place, and learn CSS! ;)

ok..aside from giving me advice to read all about CSS, if anyone could post a simple answer to my question i would appreciate it greatly. (point of a forum)

Thanks

Simple answer: You can't, well at least not to my knowledge.

As explained before (or not?) the solution you are looking for will only work for IE, thus, it's not really a solution. But if you wish to continue with it, you would just add the following code, as-is, into your <head> tag.

<style type="text/css">
body {
font-size: 12px;
}
</style>

I would strongly suggest learning CSS, too. It's a very powerful and useful language to know. Almost required, these days. ;)
