Photoshop 7 tileing problem

I confess I don't know how can I "multiply" a layer to make it repeat on the work space, the same way of "tileing" a small gif when making a repeted background on an HTML page...

Does anyone how to do it in Photoshop 7?

Here's how one would do it .

say your original image is 100px x 100px and you want to repeat it 5 times across and 5 times down.

File>New (with transparent background) , size 500x500px

Open your original image, just drag it to the new open file.

Use the move tool (v) while pressing the option button (on mac) drag the image you just copied to the new file again in the new file. This will create a dupe of the image on a new layer. Repeat the process as many times as you like(25 times in the above example).
