Hey guys, i just downloaded Apache and did some editting. Everything works fine, i can see the page.

However when i configured my LINKSYS router in order to make my site viewable by public, it doesnt work. It works fine on coms around my LAN. Is there any solutions to this problem?

If u think its too long or tedious to type out everything here, please add me to ICQ or MSN and help me out.

Okay i did some research and found out that LINKSYS routers are equiped with built-in firewall which are fixed such that users will not be able to disable it.

Does anyone have any idea what so ever about LINSYS routers such that it would allow people breaking through the firewall?

What you need to do is log into the admin control panel for you router and set port forwarding to forward port 80 from the outside to 80 on the IP address of the computer with the apache. You will want to set the IP to a static IP address to make it easier.

If you haven't logged into the acp before, point your browser to and the user id is admin and there isn't a password. You'll want to change the password too.

did you put everything in the public folder? if you did to access it you use http://your_ip/public/
