I am not sure whether this is the right place to post this question. I want to know whether you can partition a Mac. hard drive so that I can install multiple browsers in Mac. If this is not the right place, can any one tell me any forums I can post this question?

Hi, just to let you know, without any partitioning I have about ten browsers/versions on my Mac harddisc. Using NN, IE, Opera, Mozilla at the same time. No problems.

MCookie, Thanks for your answer. But I have a concern. I do not no any thing about mac. I am a PC user. When I tried to install different versions of IE in my pc (Which have windows 98), every time I install a higher version, the previous version got lost/replaced by the newer version. So to keep the older version (multiple versions) I had to partition my hard disk of pc.

So regarding the Mac, you are saying just install the different versions of IE and all of them would be there, meaning the previous ones will not get lost/replaced by the newer ones? I have mac 9OS. Right now I only have IE 6 and NN 6. So I have to install all the IE 5.x versions and NN 4.x versions

Well, like Apple says: think different..
There are two ways to loose or replace something on a Mac: deleting it or replacing it by something with exactly the same name. So you can only replace "Netscape 4.75" by something that is called "Netscape 4.75".
On a Mac, a browser is just an application, not part of the OS, like on a Win PC.
