Help w/ Icons

Hey I am designing some icons. I was interested to see if any one had any ideas for icons. Example being if you suggest a history icon. history icon>>>hour glass.

Warning: I am developing this for a company to include this in software. So some of the icons used in the software will be property of the company. I have it worked out that I have the rights to most of the icons. I will post those when I'm finish.

Okay maybe this will get me some feedback. FLAME @ what you don't like. *I know I am asking for it.

The arrow around the hour glass needs to point to the left.
ie; backwards.

Both the hourglass and backwards arrow are recognised iconography for your needs but be careful combining them as to not confuse the meaning.
